(Dallas, TX) -- Two years after his death in Dallas, Botham Jean's name will be attached to a police reform bill to be introduced to the legislature next year.
Two years ago Sunday, Jean died when he was shot in his own apartment by an off-duty Dallas police officer who testified she believed she was in her unit in the same apartment building.
On the anniversary of his death, it was announced "The Botham Jean Act" will be introduced by DeSoto state Representative Carl Sherman.
