City Launches 'Dallas Forward' To Assist Businesses Affected By Coronavirus

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson is unveiling a new intitiative to help the city's small and medium-size businesses get back on track. 

The new program is called 'Dallas Forward' and its goal is to provide a hub to help small businesses navigate through this pandemic.

One task, helping businesses get PPE by distributing donations.

Mayor Johnson says PPEs are essential because the sooner we answer the health questions, the sooner the economy opens up further.

The task for is asking large companies to donate as much PPE as they can spare to help small businesses.

Former President and CEO of Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas Richard Fisher is co-chair of Dallas Forward and added that says the Dallas ISD and AT&T are close to a plan to provide free internet service to all DISD students.

Small and medium sized businesses make up approximately 50% of the local economy.
