FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Cook Children's hospital is sharing some difficult news about one of its therapy dogs.

Journey has recently been diagnosed with Lymphoma.

The hospital says it was caught early and she's already started with her treatment. Journey won't be able to visit patients during the weeks she's receiving chemo.

Cook Children's says once they know how she will respond in between treatments, she'll be available to visit with patients and staff.

The hospital thanks everyone for their support of Journey and her handler team.

She's part of the hospital's Sit, Stay, Play! program.

Our #SitStayPlay! program has some difficult news to share. Journey, one of our therapy dogs, was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. We believe it was caught early and she has already begun treatment. (1/4) pic.twitter.com/ikE5ID9SSP
