Dallas County is reporting an increase in children coming down with COVID-19 and many of them were in daycare settings.

Since the first of June there have been 98 confirmed cases in kids and staff from 65 daycare facilities in Dallas county.

Tori Mannes is the CEO of Child Care Group which works with the county and says the challenge is keeping children socially distant from one another.

'What we found is that children can sometimes can be asymptomatic and they inadvertently carry the virus and cause a spread" said Mannes.

Mannes says they work with hundreds of daycares in the county and each is constantly working to clean and create a safe environment.

Over 1,200 children have been diagnosed with the virus in Dallas County, including 29 who have been hospitalized since the first of July.
