DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - An apology will not be enough for a Dallas mom who says her daughter's teacher hit the girl in the face with a pencil box.
Marissa Nava is a 7th grader at Pinkston High School which serves grades seven through twelve.
Marissa tells NBC-5 they were in science class Friday when some of her classmates kept talking in class, leaving their teacher upset. Suddenly, Marissa says she was hit in the face by a pencil box chucked across the room by the teacher who called Marissa's mom to leave a voice-mail apologizing for what happened.
But mom Betty Garcia told the Pinkston principal the apology is insufficient and she wants the teacher sacked.
