Also his humility and the loyalty to the city and team he has played for 21 years," he says.

May 14, 2019 Nowitzki met with Governor Greg Abbott today before going to the capital floor. "We are so proud of you," Abbott said of Nowitzki. "The greatest player in the history of the Dallas Mavericks and one of the greatest players in NBA history."
