FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Former UFC welterweight contender Abdul Alhassan has been acquitted of charges in his sexual assault case.
Not guilty...the verdict within the last few minutes in Fort Worth.The jury went out first thing this morning, deciding whether Abdul Alhassan sexually assaulted at least one of two women he drove home while working for a Fort Worth bar.
Alhassan, at one time considered one of the best welterweight mixed martial arts fighters in the world was working as a bouncer for the Varsity Tavern in Fort Worth two years ago.
The women were too intoxicated to drive, Alhassan took them to a house in Saginaw. That much is not disputed.
But one of the women says Alhassan somehow got into the house and sexually assaulted her before turning on the other woman, who had passed out.
A lawyer for Alhassan says there was consensual sex with one of fighter
