A Fort Worth police officer is recovering after being hurt in a crash near I-30 and Loop 820 yesterday.
Police, firefighter and MedStar were all sent to the scene on Brentwood Stair Road near Holt Street where a driver rear ended a Fort Worth police squad car. That driver tried to run for it but was quickly chased down by an off-duty police officer.
The civilian and the officer in the squad car were taken to the hospital to get checked out but their injuries were not reported to be life-threatening.
