There's no evidence of West Nile Virus in Highland Park, but the town is going to spray anyway just in case.
The Highland Park Parks Department, along with the Dallas County Health Department has been testing for mosquitos around town and so far none with West Nile Virus have turned up.
But the town has decided to go ahead with ground spraying as a precaution.
Town leaders say the spraying will at least help cut down on the mosquito population.
The spraying will be town wide and is set to start Friday night at 10:00 p.m. It will be completed by 5:00 a.m. Saturday morning.
People in Highland Park should stay inside during those hours, and officials say to bring your pets inside and to keep the windows closed.
