PLANO (1080 KRLD) - North Texas Muslims are making preparations to observe Ramadan beginning tonight - but without the usual social interactions.
During the month-long Ramadan observances, Muslims fast during daylight hours but often come together for community meals in the evening.
But with social distancing rules and shelter-in-place orders, most Muslim families will remain home.
Rather than hold gatherings in their mosques, many imams will live-stream prayers, readings from the Koran and their customary preaching.
