DALLAS (1080 KRLD)- A murder suspect wanted by Dallas Police is now being treated in the hospital after he is shot by an officer.

The shooting happened in the 500 block of Parkwood Trail in Mesquite.
That's a residential area. Mesquite police say Dallas officers were on the trail of a murder suspect and ended up in that neighborhood.
They do not know what led to the shooting or whether the murder suspect was armed.
He is being treated at the Downtown Baylor Medical Center, and police have not said how serious his condition is.
No officers were hurt in the gunfire.
