FRISCO (1080 KRLD) - An overnight standoff in Frisco has ended with 42 year old Bryan Cahill in custody to be charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.
The incident that began as an attempted traffic stop on the Dallas North Tollway near Spring Creek Parkway around 2 Friday afternoon resulted in the shooting of an unidentified DPS officer who is listed in stable condition after surgery.
Cahill, held up in the La Valencia at Starwood apartments, fired several shots overnight at police was taken into custody early Saturday and has been taken to an area hospital with reportedly serious injuries, the cause has not been released.
The area is still an active crime scene and police are asking residents of La Valencia to check with police prior to returning to their home.
