Plano is welcoming students back to classrooms today. Plano ISD started the school year last month online only.
Students in Pre-K to 8th grade who have opted for Face to Face instruction are going back to class today, and those who want to stay home will continue learning remotely.
For students in high school, today marks the start of a hybrid schedule, incorporating some remote learning and some face to face learning.
The district says students are divided unto two units based on last name.
Students who want to participate in face to face learning will get to do so two days a week with their unitt. They'll have remote learning on the other three days.
The hybrid schedule also includes a mix of asynchronous learning, and learning as a group.
Students have been attending class online since early August.
