FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A new Coronavirus treatment is underway in Fort Worth.
A Harris Methodist Hospital patient on a ventilator and in critical condition was infused with blood plasma from a person who has recovered from the virus.
That person's blood should have anti-bodies produced during the battle to defeat the Coronavirus.
Doctors tell the Star-Telegram it could be days before they can tell whether the treatment is working.
Doctor John Burk, a lung specialist, says there were also plans to treat a Baylor All Saints patient but that victim died before the procedure could be implemented.
