Tela Mange with the Texas Department of Licensing and regulation says her office has received hundreds of complaints "from the public since April second, from people who are providing services and they're not supposed to.

It's definitely something people are doing and it's definitely something they shouldn't be."

Mange says most such workers understand we all need to do our part.  "They're very upset and unhappy that there are people who are providing cosmetology and barbering services during a time when they're not supposed to because it's dangerous."Mange says please wait to get your hair and nails done. "The patriotic thing at this point is to look a little shaggy and let those gray roots come out because the sooner we get everyone staying home and adhering to social distancing, the sooner all of us will be able to get back to work and start easing into a routine"She advises calling 311 if you know of someone breaking the rules.
