Champ is thrilled to be in his new home with Round Rock Officer John Schultz.
Schultz says, "The previous owner dragged him from a truck an estimated mile or so. He was in pretty bad shape."
The previous owner faced charges while Champ underwent life-saving surgeries. Officer Schultz heard about this.
Schultz says, "They let me go back and see him."
Now, after months of recovery, Champ is loving his new home.
Schultz says, "Not only has he changed my life, but I've changed his as well. I think from the injuries that he has sustained...that his life can only get better from this day forward."
