FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - With no races being run, Texas Motor Speedway has laid off more than 30 percent of its staff.
The Star-Telegram is reporting this based on social media comments posted by some laid off employees and their still-employed co-workers who write that it's hard to see their friends leaving.
The parent company of TMS confirms that, system-wide, it has laid off 180 employees and furloughed about 100 others. That works out to about 15 percent of the total.
