DENTON (1080 KRLD) - Denton Authorities are spending this Saturday investigating a crash involving a flatbed truck carrying butane tanks near Denton that killed two people and injured three others Friday, shutting down Interstate 35W south of the split.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Traffic in the area was backed up for hours
The conditions of those injured in the crash are not known.
Denton police say the wreck involved four passenger vehicles and two 18-wheelers.
None of the victims have been identified
UPDATE | Both the North and Southbound lanes remain closed near mile marker 84. Traffic is being diverted at 2499 to the south, and prior to the 35 split to the north. Three fatalities have been confirmed in this multi-vehicle crash/explosion. Avoid the area until further notice.
