MCKINNEY (1080 KRLD) - A capital murder trial begins in McKinney next week.
Brandon McCall is accused of killing a Richardson police officer two years ago.
Officer David Sherrard was fatally shot at the beginning of an hours-long police standoff in the apartment of McCall's friend who was also killed.
It's been ten years since Collin County prosecuted a death penalty case.
