DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Two men from Florida are locked up after a huge drug bust in East Texas.
DPS troopers stopped a truck on I-20 just north of Kilgore for a traffic violation on January 20, 2019 at around 11:17 a.m.
Troopers became suspicious. So, they called in the canine unit.
Troopers say they found more than 200 pounds of marijuana and over 80 pounds of marijuana edibles concealed in the truck.
The driver, Klaus Williams, of Malabar Florida and the passenger, Marvin Wynter, of Port St. Lucie Florida were arrested and charged with possession of marijuana more than 50 lbs. less than 2,000 lbs.
Both are booked in the Gregg County Jail.
Troopers believe the drugs were being transported from the west coast to Florida.
