DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Severe storms hit North Texas Sunday afternoon leaving damage in some areas and nearly 300,000 people without power.
The storm toppled a crane at the Elan City Lights apartment building on Live Oak Street in Dallas. Dallas Fire-Rescue says one person inside an apartment was killed and six others were transported to the hospital.
As of 4 p.m., Oncor is reporting an estimated 300,000 customers without power, about 250,000 of them in Dallas.
