CHICAGO (1080 KRLD) - A Cook County grand jury indicted "Empire" actor Jussie Smollett with 16 felony charges Friday after he reported an alleged attack on himself in Chicago late January.
The charges against Smollett have yet to be announced.
Smollett was charged in February with felony disorderly conduct for the allegedly false police report he made with Chicago police on Jan. 29, in which he claimed he was assaulted by two men who made homophobic and racist slurs to him.
Smollett also claimed the attackers poured bleach all over him, and tied a noose around his neck. He may face a possible sentence of four years probation, and already pleaded not guilty for the alleged attack. He was taken into custody and posted $100,000 bail.
