FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - A one-vehicle rollover accident sent seven people to Fort Worth hospitals Friday afternoon.
MedStar spokesman Matt Zavadsky said numerous 911 calls came in after the crash, which occurred on eastbound Interstate 30 near Hulen St. around 2:15 p.m. Friday.
Zavadsky said among the seven patients treated, four were in critical condition, with injuries considered life-threatening. They were transported to various trauma centers in Fort Worth. Two patients were serious, and one had minor injuries.
Zavadsky said MedStar crews treated both adults and pediatric patients at the scene. He also commended witnesses for quickly jumping in to help immediately after the accident.
Zavadsky told KRLD, "There were several bystanders who stopped and began rendering aid, especially on the critical patients. So, if those bystanders are listening, thank you. You made a difference in these patients living or dying. We cannot appreciate enough the people who stop to render aid prior to the responders getting there."
Fort Worth Police are investigating the crash.
