LANTANA (1080 KRLD) - The Texas Rangers are investigating an officer-involved shooting that happened Saturday morning in Denton County.
Denton County Sheriff deputies were called to a home on Boswell Crossing shortly after 7 a.m. A white 61-year-old male with a shotgun entered the home looking for a family member.
Two deputies confronted the man who then pointed his shotgun at them. Both deputies fired killing the man.
According to the Denton County Sheriff's Office, both deputies have been placed on routine administrative leave.
