DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A Southwest Boeing 737 MAX 8 plane made an emergency landing after one of its engines overheated Tuesday.
The plane took off from Orlando International Airport at 2:47 p.m., and quickly turned around and made its emergency landing at 2:58 p.m., just 11 minutes after takeoff. An emergency was declared at around 2:50 p.m.
There were reportedly no passengers on board, as the plane was headed to Victorville, California, where Southwest stores planes.
On March 13, President Donald Trump grounded the 737 MAX 8 planes after one crashed in Ethiopia on March 10.
