
ENNIS (1080 KRLD)- North Texas is full of summer celebrations. Everything from Juneteenth, Father's Day and the upcoming 4th of July. There's one city that is bringing all the fun of community, fireworks and patriotic pride in one event before July-- The City of Ennis.
This year they are celebrating their 9th Annual Freedom Fest. They promise it to have tons of great things to offer such as a parade, a carnival midway, a patriotic festival and a spectacular fireworks display.
All of the fun is for a good cause as well! The event benefits "Give a Kid a Chance" with visitors asked to help Stuff the Bus by bringing school supplies for kids in elementary, middle and high school.
There will also be a fireworks show and musical performances by Le Freak, the "World’s Greatest Disco Band". It's all happening at Veterans Memorial Park. Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs. Visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket or chairs
The first five hundred people will enjoy a free burger meal compliments of In-N-Out Burger.
