The Dallas Cowboys brought in some familiar faces for workouts on Tuesday to shore up two areas of need before a potential long playoff run.

And now, at least one of them is signing, with the Cowboys agreeing to a deal with offensive lineman La'el Collins to the practice squad, per Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero.

Dallas also worked out linebacker Damien Wilson, according to multiple reports.

Collins, who spent the first six years of his career with Dallas before being released by the Cowboys in a cost-saving move, signed with the Cincinnati Bengals in 2022 and started 15 games before tearing his ACL and MCL at the end of the season. He was then released in September.

Seemingly healthy, Collins has worked out for a few teams this season in an effort to get back in the NFL.

"Collins recently worked out with the Bills after working out for the Jets and Giants back in October," according to Pro Football Talk.

Collins started 71 of the 74 games he played in with the Cowboys at left guard and right tackle after he went undrafted in 2015 out of LSU.

Wilson, who was with Dallas from 2015-18, started 22 of the 64 games he appeared in. He signed a free-agent deal with Kansas City in 2019 and spent two seasons there before playing for Jacksonville in 2021 and Carolina in 2022. The Panthers released Wilson after the season, and he's been a free agent since.

Prior to signing with Carolina, Wilson was arrested in Frisco, Texas, on a charge of assault with bodily injury to a family member. The NFL suspended him for four games under the personal conduct policy.

In a statement given to the Dallas Morning News at the time of the incident, Wilson’s attorney, Toby Shook, disputed the assault allegations.

“Damien Wilson did not commit any type of assault,” Shook said. “We look forward to all the facts coming out so his name can be cleared.”
