COVID-related changes:
ALLEN vs. CEDAR HILL game has been canceled due to COVID concerns.
DENTON RYAN has canceled its next two games over COVID-related concerns. Ryan Head Coach Dave Henigan told the Denton Record-Chronicle the two district games will be considered no-contests rather than forfeits, and that special tiebreaker rules established by the district may ultimately be needed to determine playoff seeding.
PROSPER vs. DeSOTO has been canceled, as Prosper High School deals with several COVID-19 cases in the football program. That non-district game will not be rescheduled.
The newly-scheduled games for this Friday include LONGVIEW PINE TREE at KENNEDALE and DALLAS W.T. WHITE at WILMER-HUTCHINS
BROWNWOOD at MIDLOTHIAN HERITAGE (CANCELED)
Brownwood will forfeit its next two district games as a result of COVID cases in the program.
ROYSE CITY at WYLIE EAST (CANCELED)
The Wylie ISD has announced Wylie East's next two games are canceled after a positive coronavirus test in the program.
WYLIE has suspended football activities for 14 days as a result of a positive coronavirus test in the program. This week's WYLIE-GARLAND LAKEVIEW CENTENNIAL game and next week's WYLIE-GARLAND NAAMAN FOREST game have been postponed. Each will be rescheduled for later dates.
This week's scheduled game between DALLAS MOLINA and DALLAS W.T. WHITE has been canceled because of COVID-related concerns at Molina High School. W.T. White is awarded a district victory by forfeit and is seeking a replacement game for this week.
The DALLAS ISD says this week's scheduled DALLAS ADAMSON-SEAGOVILLE and CARROLLTON R.L. TURNER-DALLAS SUNSET games have been canceled over the health status of a student-athlete who played in last week's ADAMSON-SUNSET game. District officials have not announced if this week's district games will be forfeited. According to the Dallas Morning News, CARROLLTON R.L. TURNER will now play SEAGOVILLE this Friday night.
The non-district MANSFIELD LEGACY-NORTH CROWLEY game has been canceled and will not be made up.

GAME OF THE WEEK: (Thursday)
6A #7 SOUTHLAKE CARROLL (1-0) at 6A #13 ROCKWALL (2-0)
If you like tons of offense, this is the game you want to watch this week. Carroll and Rockwall-Heath put up a combined 129 points last week (72-57 win for Carroll in their season opener), and this game easily could exceed that total. It features two of the top quarterbacks in the state in Rockwall Jr. Braedyn Locke and Carroll Jr. Quinn Ewers. Ewers threw for 389 yards and five TD last week. Dragons RB Owen Allen ran for 218 and four scores in the win over Rockwall-Heath. Rockwall stayed unbeaten with a 60-38 win over Dallas Jesuit. Locke was 18 of 29 for 283 yards and four TD. He has thrown for 655 yards and eight scores in the first two games of the season. Rockwall also got big contributions from RB Zach Hernandez (112 yards and a TD) and WR Caden Marshall, who had two TD receptions and also ran for a TD. It could take 70 points to come out on top in this shootout.
WEST MESQUITE (0-2) at FORT WORTH CHISHOLM TRAIL (0-2)
West Mesquite comes off a 40-14 loss to Mesquite Poteet. They were held to 139 total yards last week. West Mesquite RB Briceson Walker ran for 59 yards and a TD. 6A Chisholm Trail fell to 5A Denton, 32-16.
HALTOM (0-1) at EVERMAN (0-2)
This is another 6A vs. 5A matchup as these teams get ready for district play. Haltom was off last week after losing to 5A rival Richland on Sept. 25, 36-3. Everman is still seeking their first win of the season after losing to Azle, 61-48, last week.
KILLEEN ELLISON (0-2) at HURST L.D. BELL (0-1)
Ellison is allowing 44 points per game after last week's 44-7 loss to Austin Vandegrift. L.D. Bell was off last week after losing their opener to Little Elm, 37-0, on Sept. 25.
SAGINAW BOSWELL (0-2) at BURLESON CENTENNIAL (1-1)
Boswell's Pioneers will face another 5A opponent after losing to 5A Nacogdoches last Saturday, 26-21. After opening with a pair of neutral site games, Burleson Centennial will play their first home game of the year. Centennial lost to 6A Wolfforth Frenship in Sweetwater last week, 49-42.
CLEBURNE (2-0) at WEATHERFORD (1-1)
This Cleburne team has been impressive in the early going. After a 59-8 win over Jacksonville, Cleburne is averaging 50.5 points per game. Weatherford slipped by 5A Crowley, 15-14, for their first win of the season.
IRVING MacARTHUR (0-1) at TROPHY CLUB BYRON NELSON (1-1)
MacArthur looks to rebound from a 35-7 loss to Garland Lakeview Centennial. QB Kylale Flye hit Lee Hamilton with a 71-yard touchdown pass for MacArthur's only score last week. Byron Nelson got into the win column with a 33-25 victory over 5A Grapevine. QB Jackson Owen threw for 161 yards and 3 TD, while RB Michael Giordano ran for 102 yards.
KELLER (0-1) at NORTH MESQUITE (1-1)
Keller lost to Denton Braswell in overtime last week, 38-37. RB Bryce Dealey ran for 116 yards and a score. North Mesquite fell to 2-0 Plano West. 28-14. QB Liam Thornton threw for 244 yards and two TD.
6A #22 FLOWER MOUND MARCUS (2-0) at KELLER CENTRAL (1-1)
Marcus comes in off a 27-10 win over McKinney. QB Garrett Nussmeier threw for 341 yards and three TD. After two games, Nussmeier (LSU commit) has already piled up 705 passing yards and seven touchdown passes. Marcus WR Tyler Schott had six receptions for 120 yards and two scores last week. Keller Central lost to 5A Fort Worth Brewer, 24-21.
KELLER FOSSIL RIDGE (0-0) at 6A #25 ARLINGTON (1-1)
This is the season opener for Fossil Ridge. Arlington lost to Cedar Hill last week, 28-21. Colts RB Rodney Talton ran for 91 yards and two TD.
RICHLAND (2-0) at KELLER TIMBER CREEK (1-1)
After routing rival Haltom in the opener and then rolling to a 53-0 win over Fort Worth Paschal last week, Richland looks to take down a 6A opponent for the third consecutive week. After two games, the Royals have outscored their opponents by a margin of 89-3. Richland QB Cole Benson threw for 183 yards and three TD last week. Keller Timber Creek lost to Burleson in double overtime, 26-20. QB Jacob Porter threw for 160 yards, while RB Kaden Bess ran for 73 and a TD in the loss.
NORTHWEST EATON (2-0) vs. HEBRON (0-1) - THURSDAY
Eaton picked up a 17-7 win over 5A Mansfield Legacy last week. RB Jahbez Hawkins was a workhorse, with 40 carries for 179 yards and a TD. Hebron was off last week. They fell to Denton Guyer, 56-33, in their opener on Sept. 25.
6A #5 ALLEN (2-0) at 6A #12 CEDAR HILL (1-0)
After dispatching state-ranked Humble Atascosita by a 52-27 count last week, Allen remains unbeaten all-time at Eagle Stadium, which opened in 2012. Allen also hasn't lost a regular season game since Sept. 2012. Cedar Hill hopes to end that streak this week. Allen QB General Booty was extremely efficient last week, going 11 for 12 for 260 yards and three TD. The Eagles scored on every first-half possession last week. RB Jordan Johnson ran for 82 yards and two touchdowns. Cedar Hill claimed a hard-fought 28-21 win over Arlington last week. QB Kaidon Salter threw for 256 yards and a TD, and also ran for a score. Longhorns RB Kevin Young, Jr. ran for 73 yards and two touchdowns, including the game-winner.
DENTON BRASWELL (1-1) at RICHARDSON PEARCE (0-2) - THURSDAY
Braswell got their first win as a 6A program last week, and it came in thrilling fashion. Braswell beat Keller in overtime, 38-37. QB Tristan McClary (334 yards/four TD) hit Cam Smith with a 25-yard TD pass for the game-winner in OT. McClary also connected with Ja'Ryan Wallace for the two-point conversion that sealed the victory. Pearce is off a 35-7 loss to 5A Frisco Wakeland. QB Burke Wahlberg had a TD pass.
MANSFIELD LAKE RIDGE (0-2) at 6A #11 DENTON GUYER (1-1)
Lake Ridge fell to 5A rival Mansfield Summit last week, 33-6. Hunter Fedon returned a fumble 48 yards for the only score. Guyer lost to crosstown rival Denton Ryan, 23-20. Denton Guyer was outgained 454-223. RB Byron Phillips ran for 144 yards and two scores.
PLANO WEST (2-0) at LITTLE ELM (1-1)
After last week's 28-14 win over North Mesquite, Plano West has already matched their four-year win total from 2016-19. It's a wonderful story. RB Tabren Yates ran for 151 yards and a TD in the latest win. The Plano West defense held North Mesquite to minus-41 rushing yards. Little Elm fell to 5A North Forney last week, 30-14. QB John Mateer threw for 207 yards and two TD.
McKINNEY (1-1) at DALLAS SKYLINE (0-0)
McKinney lost to 2-0 Flower Mound Marcus, 27-10. QB Sampson Nazarko threw for 182 yards and a TD. This is the season opener for Skyline.
6A #19 PROSPER (2-0) at 6A #6 DeSOTO (1-0)
This is another measuring stick game for a Prosper team that hopes to battle Denton Guyer and Allen for a district title. Prosper picked up a quality win over Euless Trinity last week, 29-21. QB Jackson Berry threw for 142 yards and a TD, while RB Mason Jolley ran for two scores. The Eagles will face a major test from DeSoto, which demolished state-ranked Converse Judson in the opener, 37-0. Judson had not been shut out since 2005. DeSoto's defense allowed 156 total yards last week. QB Samari Collier was 10 of 16 for 186 yards with a TD pass and a TD run. After the win, DeSoto HC Claude Mathis said, "The swagger is back."
COPPELL (2-0) at 5AD1 #2 HIGHLAND PARK (0-0)
This will be a very interesting game to watch, as Highland Park had their scheduled opener pushed back by two weeks over COVID-19 concerns. Coppell has been impressive in the early going. The Cowboys beat Sachse last week, 42-35. QB Ryan Walker was 19 of 32 for 348 yards and four TD. The Highland Park offense is now led by QB Brayden Schager. Schager (6-3 and 200) is committed to Hawaii even though he has yet to start a game at quarterback for the Scots.
5AD2 #7 MANSFIELD TIMBERVIEW (1-0) at FLOWER MOUND (2-0)
Timberview had a bye last week after beating 6A Mansfield Lake Ridge on Sept. 24. Flower Mound defeated Garland Naaman Forest last week, 29-9. QB Nick Evers passed for 317 yards and 2 TD. Flower Mound is allowing 8.0 points per game so far this season.
LEWISVILLE (1-1) at ARLINGTON LAMAR (1-1)
Lewisville found the win column with last week's 48-15 victory over Wylie. QB Taylen Green passed for 308 yards and a TD. RB Damien Martinez ran for 132 yards and 5 TD. Martinez has 396 yards rushing and ten TD after just two games. Lamar beat Waxahachie, 19-7. RB Anthony Williams ran for 65 yards and a TD. The Vikings defense intercepted five passes last week, including one that was returned 100 yards for a touchdown by Harold West.
LAKE HIGHLANDS (2-0) at PLANO (0-1)
Lake Highlands rolled to a 42-21 win over Plano East. QB Mitch Coulson had 306 total yards, ran for three TD and added a TD pass. RB Noelle Whitehead ran for 123 yards and two scores. Plano Senior High was off last week after dropping a 36-35 decision to McKinney on Sept. 25.
DALLAS JESUIT (0-2) at PLANO EAST (0-2)
These two teams come in hungry for a win. Jesuit remained winless after losing to Rockwall, 60-38. QB Gage Roy threw for 211 yards and two TD. Jesuit is allowing 54.0 points per game so far this season. PESH fell to Lake Highlands, 42-21. QB Dylan Hayden had 200 total yards and ran for two TD.
IRVING (0-1) at ARLINGTON SAM HOUSTON (1-1) - THURSDAY
Irving fell to North Garland in their opener, 32-0. Sam Houston rolled to a 43-0 win over 5A Fort Worth South Hills. They are allowing 5.0 points per game so far this season. Sam Houston QB Omari Milton was 14 of 16 for 141 yards and two TD. Milton added a TD on the ground.
CARROLLTON CREEKVIEW (0-1) at IRVING NIMITZ (0-1)
Creekview held Carrollton Newman Smith to 197 total yards in a 14-7 win. Nimitz lost to 5A Wylie East, 42-18. J'Den Hall, Chris Espinoza and Kavon Bartlett all ran for scores in the loss.
AZLE (1-1) at RICHARDSON (0-1)
After last week's 61-48 win over Everman, the Azle Hornets are averaging 55.5 points per game. They are allowing 59.0 ppg. Richardson dropped its opener to Garland, 48-28.
DALLAS WOODROW WILSON (0-0) at RICHARDSON BERKNER (1-1)
Berkner grabbed a 33-21 win over Dallas W.T. White last week. QB Jamaal Saine had two TD passes and also ran for a score. Berkner WR Denim Jones had two TD receptions. This is the season opener for Woodrow Wilson.
MESQUITE HORN (1-1) at ARLINGTON BOWIE (1-0)
Horn suffered a 51-10 home loss to 2-0 Odessa Permian last week. WR Xavier Brown caught a TD pass for Horn. Bowie is off a 29-21 win over Mansfield. QB Drevonn Ponder had three total TD in the victory.
ARLINGTON MARTIN (1-1) at 6A #23 TEMPLE (2-0)
After dropping the opener to 5A Denton Ryan, Martin looked a lot more solid last week in a 37-0 win over The Woodlands College Park. Martin's defense allowed just 125 total yards. QB Zach Mundell had 231 total yards and accounted for four TD. Temple will be a great test for Arlington Martin. The Wildcats defeated 5A Magnolia West last week, 28-13, after beating 5A Longview in their opener.
GRAND PRAIRIE (1-0) at MESQUITE (0-2)
Grand Prairie's Gophers go for a 2-0 start this week after edging McKinney Boyd, 18-12. WR Savion Red had five receptions for 98 yards and caught two scoring tosses from QB Michael Stallworth. Mesquite is seeking their first victory of the season after last week's 28-26 loss to South Grand Prairie.
SOUTH GRAND PRAIRIE (1-0) at HEWITT MIDWAY (0-1)
SGP beat Mesquite in their opener, 28-26. Hewitt Midway opened their season with a 56-0 loss to defending 6AD2 state champion Austin Westlake.
GARLAND (1-0, 0-0) at NORTH GARLAND (1-0, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Garland's Owls took down Richardson last week, 48-28. QB Cergio Perez threw for 322 yards and five TD. North Garland shut out Irving High, 32-0.

DISTRICT OPENER
Naaman Forest opened its season with a 29-9 loss to Flower Mound. RB Kingsley Bennett ran for 136 yards. South Garland opened with a 50-20 loss to 5A Princeton.
ROWLETT (0-0, 0-0) at SACHSE (0-1, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Rowlett jumps right into district play this week. Sachse fell to 2-0 Coppell last week, 42-35. Sachse QB Alex Orji is a force. He had 506 total yards in the opener (325 passing) to go along with four total TD. Orji's night included a 75-yard TD run and a 78-yard TD bomb.
6A #2 DUNCANVILLE (1-0) vs. IMG ACADEMY (4-0) - NOON SATURDAY AT GLOBE LIFE PARK
This game will draw attention from across the USA, as IMG comes in at No. 1 in the USA Today Super 25 national rankings, while Duncanville is ranked No. 2. With Duncanville HC Reginald Samples serving a one-game UIL suspension last week, the Panthers did not miss a beat in a 41-3 win over 5A South Oak Cliff. QB Grayson James (transfer from John Paul II) was 13 of 21 for 205 yards and two TD. WR Roderick Daniels, Jr., (Baylor commit) caught nine passes for 183 yards and two TD. The IMG Ascenders come in off a 52-8 win over Life Christian Academy of Chester, VA.
MANSFIELD (0-2) at MANSFIELD SUMMIT (1-0)
Mansfield lost to Arlington Bowie last week, 29-21. QB Hunt Young ran for a TD and threw for a score. Summit looks to take down a bigger hometown rival for the second straight week. The Jaguars last week defeated 6A Mansfield Lake Ridge, 33-6. QB David Hopkins threw for 234 yards and two TD. He also added a TD on the ground.
WAXAHACHIE (1-1) at 5AD2 #1 ENNIS (1-0)
After beating Copperas Cove in the opener, Waxahachie lost to Arlington Lamar last week, 19-7. RB Shawn Cherry ran for 181 yards and a TD. 5AD1 No. 1 Ennis should be fresh coming into this one. The Lions had a break last week, after a 52-21 win over Red Oak on Sept. 25. This 99th "Battle of 287" was originally scheduled for Sept. 11. Ennis defeated Waxahachie last year and now holds a razor-thin 47-46-5 lead in the longtime series.
CROWLEY (0-2) at BIRDVILLE (0-0)
Crowley lost to 6A Weatherford last week, 15-14. Crowley has been involved in a couple of low-scoring games so far this season. They are averaging 7.0 points per game, while allowing 14.0 per game.
NORTH FORNEY (2-0) at FORT WORTH BREWER (1-1)
North Forney is a team to watch. They remained unbeaten last week with a 30-14 win over 6A Little Elm. Jr. QB Landon Heath threw for 139 yards and three TD. RB Ty Collins ran for 189 and caught a TD pass on a flea-flicker from WR Collyn Shipley. FW Brewer beat 6A Keller Central last week, 24-21.
JUSTIN NORTHWEST (2-0) at GRAPEVINE (0-2)
Behind its explosive offense, Justin Northwest posted a 63-49 win over McKinney North, avenging a 68-65 defeat from last season. QB Jake Strong had three TD passes last week, while RB Kyle Cummings ran for three scores. Grapevine remains winless after a 33-25 loss to 6A Trophy Club Byron Nelson.
SAGINAW (0-2) at SHERMAN (0-2)
Saginaw fell to 2-0 Frisco Heritage, 42-35. RB Kyle Kennard ran for 186 yards and two TD. Sherman lost to 2-0 Mount Pleasant, 24-7.
COLLEYVILLE HERITAGE (1-0)
Due to COVID concerns, Colleyville Heritage is not scheduled to play again until its district opener at Richland on Oct. 23.
5A D2 #4 WICHITA FALLS RIDER (2-0) at MIDLOTHIAN (2-0)
This is a very intriguing matchup between two solid 5A programs. Rider looks primed for another deep playoff run. They come off a 42-35 win over Frisco Independence. Rider ran for 347 yards last week, with QB Jacob Rodriguez accounting for 312 total yards and three TD. Midlothian has posted 49 points in each of its first two games. In last week's 49-13 win over Forney, RB Ethan Hill ran for 142 yards and three TD.
THE COLONY (1-1, 0-0) at DENTON (1-1, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
The Colony rolls into district play after a 24-21 win over 6A North Crowley. Kione Roberson scored on an 88-yard kickoff return and on an 18-yard run in last week's win, while Soph. RB Kamden Wesley ran for 119 yards. Denton is also coming off a win over a 6A opponent, after defeating Fort Worth Chisholm Trail, 32-16.

DISTRICT OPENER
The Ryan Raiders showed again why they are worthy of being ranked No. 1 in the state in 5AD1, edging state-ranked 6A rival Denton Guyer, 23-20. Ryan piled up 343 rushing yards, including a 170-yard night by RB Ke'Ori Hicks. Ryan QB Seth Henigan ran for 101 yards and threw for 109 in the win over Guyer. Frisco Reedy lost to 2-0 Frisco High, 31-0. QB AJ Padgett threw for 133 yards in the loss.
FRISCO CENTENNIAL (1-1, 0-0) at FRISCO WAKELAND (2-0, 0-0) - THURSDAY
DISTRICT OPENER
Centennial found the win column last week with a 38-15 win over Lake Dallas. QB Grayson Dayries ran for two scores and added another TD through the air. Wakeland stayed unbeaten with a 35-7 win over 6A Richardson Pearce. Jr. RB Jared White ran for 198 yards and three TD. Wakeland is allowing 8.5 points per game so far this season.
FRISCO HERITAGE (2-0, 0-0) at 5AD1 #10 FRISCO LONE STAR (0-2, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Heritage is off to a hot start after beating Saginaw last week, 42-35. RB Shawn Wara racked up 175 yards and three TD on the ground. Wara also had 129 receiving yards. Frisco Lone Star came oh-so-close to taking down Aledo, which scored late for a 34-32 win. QB Garret Rangel threw for 239 yards last week, while RB Jaden Nixon ran for 114 and two scores. K Josh Click had four field goals for Lone Star.
DALLAS BRYAN ADAMS (0-1, 0-0) at CARROLLTON NEWMAN SMITH (1-0, 0-0) - THURSDAY
DISTRICT OPENER
Bryan Adams is coming off a 35-7 loss to Dallas Hillcrest. Newman Smith held Carrollton Creekview to 183 total yards last week in a 14-7 victory.

Despite not having the ability to warm up for district play, Lancaster is the favorite in 6-5A-1. Samuell hopes to contend for a playoff spot. They opened with an 8-6 win over Dallas Spruce. Samuell QB Dekkios Davis ran for 77 yards and a TD in the victory.
MARSHALL (1-1) at McKINNEY NORTH (0-1)
Both schools look to bounce back from losses. Marshall lost to Longview in their annual rivalry game, 53-21. McKinney North fell to 2-0 Justin Northwest in a shootout, 63-49.

DISTRICT OPENER
Kimball opened its season with a 24-20 loss to Dallas Carter in the "Oak Cliff Super Bowl" last Saturday. Conrad comes off a 46-0 win over 3A Dallas A+ Academy. RB Tony King scored three TD, while RB Curvondrick Scott ran for 200 yards and a score.
DALLAS HILLCREST (1-0) at DALLAS CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (2-0)
Hillcrest posted a 35-7 win over Dallas Bryan Adams in its opener. RB Nasir Reynolds ran for 198 yards and two TD. Dallas Christian beat North Dallas last week, 48-12. That followed a victory over Argyle Liberty Christian in the opener. RB Shon Coleman ran for 90 yards and a TD last week.

Jefferson looks to rebound after a 50-2 loss to 4A Dallas Pinkston. Poteet picked up its first win last week, beating West Mesquite, 40-14. QB Jaylond Price threw for 197 yards and three TD.

DISTRICT OPENER
Spruce fell to Dallas Samuell in its opener, 8-6. RB Shawn Hodge's 75-yard touchdown jaunt was the only score for Spruce. SOC fell to 6A Duncanville last week, 41-3. RB Cameron Davis ran for 60 hard-fought yards in the loss. SOC was held to 128 yards total offense in the opener.
FRISCO (2-0, 0-0) at LAKE DALLAS (1-1, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Frisco High is off to a hot start. They blanked Frisco Reedy last week, 31-0. QB Caree' Green had 188 total yards with a passing TD and a rushing TD. Lake Dallas fell to Frisco Centennial, 38-15. QB Trevor Moon threw for 76 yards and ran for 63 in the loss.
FRISCO LEBANON TRAIL (2-0, 0-0) at FRISCO MEMORIAL (1-1, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Lebanon Trail stayed unbeaten with a quality 34-31 win over Corsicana. QB Drew Martin threw for 193 yards and two TD. Frisco Memorial defeated Hallsville last Saturday, 34-24.

DISTRICT OPENER
Liberty defeated Greenville last week, 39-20. QB Keldric Luster has been spectacular. He threw for 313 yards and a score last week, and also ran for three TD. Rock Hill was off last week after losing to Frisco Heritage in its opener on Sept. 24. This will be the first varsity district game in school history.
PRINCETON (1-1, 0-0) at LUCAS LOVEJOY (2-0, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Playoff contenders meet in the league opener. Princeton rolled to a 50-20 win over 6A South Garland last week. WR Gavin Champ had 185 receiving yards and four scores. Lovejoy comes off a 48-13 win over Sulphur Springs. QB R.W. Rucker threw for 346 yards and four TD last week.
CORSICANA (1-1) at WHITEHOUSE (2-0)
These two schools are still warming up for district play. Corsicana looks to bounce back after a 34-31 loss to Frisco Lebanon Trail. RB Damarius Daniels had a 73-yard TD run. Whitehouse slipped by Royse City, 22-20.
FORNEY (0-2) at 5AD2 #10 TEXARKANA TEXAS HIGH (2-0)
Each of Forney's first three opponents are off to 2-0 starts. The Jackrabbits come off a 49-13 loss to Midlothian. Texas High stayed unbeaten with a 24-3 win over Denison.
GAINESVILLE (1-3, 0-1) at DECATUR (2-4, 1-0)
Gainesville fell to Springtown last week, 41-19. Decatur opened district play with a 69-0 win over Burkburnett.
LAKE WORTH (4-2, 0-1) at 4AD1 #8 SPRINGTOWN (5-1, 1-0)
Lake Worth hopes to avoid an 0-2 start in district play after losing to Wichita Falls Hirschi last week, 42-20. The Bullfrogs program has been dealing with internal issues, as some players boycotted last week's game over the school's handling of a racial slur by a Lake Worth teammate during a recent game. Springtown is riding a five-game win streak after last week's 41-19 win over Gainesville. A blocked punt early in the second half allowed the Porcupines to blow open a tight game. QB Camden Chesney threw for three scores and added a TD run last week. Springtown's only loss this season is to 5-0 Glen Rose.
ALVARADO (2-4, 0-1) at WAXAHACHIE LIFE (1-4, 0-1)
Alvarado went down to Midlothian Heritage in their district opener, 56-23. RB William Labermeier ran for 185 yards and a TD.
BROWNWOOD (2-4, 0-1) at MIDLOTHIAN HERITAGE (4-2, 1-0)
Just about every game is an epic battle in 5-4A-1, and Brownwood has another tough assignment this week after losing to Stephenville in the district opener, 59-34. Soph. WR Jason Jackson had five receptions for 156 yards, with TDs of 58, 58 and 28 yards. Brownwood RB Royshad Henderson ran for 145 yards and a TD. Midlothian Heritage rolled over Alvarado in its district opener, 56-23. QB Daelin Rader threw for two scores and ran for two more.
BENBROOK (2-3, 2-0) at FORT WORTH DIAMOND HILL-JARVIS (0-2, 0-2)
Benbrook has won two straight to open district play, including last week's 40-0 victory over FW Western Hills. Diamond Hill-Jarvis has been idle each of the past two weeks.
4A D1 #1 ARGYLE (5-0, 1-0) at ANNA (2-4, 1-1)
Argyle continues to take everybody's best shot week after week, and so far, the 4AD1 No. 1 Eagles have passed every test. Last week's 48-28 victory over 5-1 Melissa was the 41st consecutive home win for Argyle. QB CJ Rogers threw for 273 yards and accounted for five TD last week. Rogers has thrown for 1,020 yards this season. The Argyle defense forced five Melissa turnovers. Anna returns to the field after picking up a COVID-related forfeit win over Paris last week.
PARIS (3-3, 0-2) at CARROLLTON RANCHVIEW (0-3, 0-2)
Thanks to COVID-19, Paris has ground to make up in the 7-4A-1 race. They were forced to forfeit their first two district games against Melissa and Anna. Carrollton Ranchview looks to rebound from a 56-6 loss to Kaufman. RB Jamel Jones did have a four-yard TD run last week for Ranchview's only score. They are averaging 6.7 points per game so far this season.
KAUFMAN (2-4, 2-0) at TERRELL (2-3, 1-0)
Kaufman has won two straight after last week's 56-6 win over Carrollton Ranchview. RB Braxton Garmon ran for 106 yards and three TD. Terrell defeated Ranchview, 44-0, on Sept. 24. The Tigers were off last week.
NORTH DALLAS (0-1, 0-0) at DALLAS CARTER (1-0, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
North Dallas fell to Dallas Christian School in its opener, 46-12. RB DayShawn Rivers ran for 100 yards and a TD. Carter jumps into district play after a 24-20 win over rival Dallas Kimball in the "Oak Cliff Super Bowl."
DALLAS PINKSTON (1-0, 0-0) at DALLAS LINCOLN (0-1, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Pinkston also picked up a win over a 5A opponent last week, beating Dallas Jefferson, 50-2. Pinkston RB Ronnie Cooper ran for 119 yards and two scores. Lincoln dropped a close one to FW North Side, 41-35.
DALLAS ROOSEVELT (0-1, 0-0) at WILMER-HUTCHINS (0-0, 0-0)
DISTRICT OPENER
Roosevelt lost to Quinlan in its opener, 67-18. This is the season opener for Wilmer-Hutchins.

Both teams were off last week. Bridgeport has lost two straight, while Graham is on a two-game win streak.

Celina returns from a two-week break. Aubrey defeated Godley last week, 45-42.

Van Alstyne lost to Bullard last week, 34-27. Krum defeated 0-6 Venus, 63-29.

After beating Mineral Wells, 62-17, Glen Rose has won its first five games by an average of 28.4 points. Godley dropped a close one to 5-1 Aubrey last week, 45-42.

DISTRICT OPENER
Venus is still searching for its first victory of the season after losing to Krum, 63-29. Hillsboro comes off a 20-7 loss to Canton.

DISTRICT OPENER
Sunnyvale has been idle the past two weeks after picking up their first win over Carrollton Ranchview on Sept. 18. Caddo Mills was off last week. They handed 5-1 Aubrey their only loss on Sept. 25, 50-28. Caddo Mills is averaging 52.5 points per game.

Ford stayed unbeaten with a 67-18 win over Dallas Roosevelt. Farmersville was off last week.

DISTRICT OPENER
Wills Point was off last week. Nevada Community defeated Grapevine Faith Christian, 23-17.
BOWIE (2-3, 0-2) at PEASTER (3-2, 0-2)
Bowie lost to 4-1 Pilot Point last week, 52-21. Peaster fell to Ponder, 26-20.
BOYD (5-0, 2-0) at PONDER (3-2, 1-1)
Boyd comes off a 33-12 win over Whitesboro. Ponder beat Peaster, 26-20.
3A D1 #1 BROCK (5-0, 2-0) at WHITESBORO (1-4, 1-1)
Brock remained unbeaten with a 60-21 win over Paradise. Whitesboro lost to 5-0 Boyd last week, 33-12.
PILOT POINT (4-1, 2-0) at PARADISE (3-2, 0-2)
Pilot Point has won two straight to open district play. They defeated Bowie last week, 52-21. Paradise comes off a 60-21 loss to Brock. Their other district loss is to 5-0 Boyd.
3A D1 #2 GRANDVIEW (5-0, 2-0) at DALLAS A+ ACADEMY (0-1, 0-0)
Grandview rolled to a 65-8 win over Whitney last week. A+ Academy lost a non-district game to 5A Dallas Conrad, 46-0. This is their district opener.
DALLAS LIFE OAK CLIFF (0-4, 0-2) at MAYPEARL (4-2, 0-2)
Life Oak Cliff lost to West last week, 55-0. Maypearl fell to Dallas Madison, 35-19. They now move into the easier part of their district schedule.
PALMER (5-1, 1-1) at EDGEWOOD (3-3, 1-1)
Palmer routed Corsicana Mildred, 58-13. Edgewood lost to Blooming Grove, 18-15.
DALLAS GATEWAY CHARTER (3-2, 0-1) at CORSICANA MILDRED (2-4, 0-2)
Gateway Charter lost to Rice, 50-13. Mildred is coming off a 58-13 loss to Palmer.
ITASCA (1-3, 0-2) at BOSQUEVILLE (2-2, 1-0)
Itasca remained winless in district play with a 69-20 loss to Rio Vista. Bosqueville was off last week. They picked up a win over 5-1 Rio Vista in their district opener on Sept. 25.
VALLEY MILLS (2-4, 0-2) at RIO VISTA (5-1, 1-1)
Valley Mills lost to Hamilton, 53-22. Rio Vista beat Itasca, 69-20.
ITALY (4-1, 0-0) at KERENS (2-4, 1-0)
Italy took its first loss of the season last week, falling to Farwell, 21-14. This is the Gladiators' district opener. Kerens opened district play with a 21-13 win over Dawson.
BREMOND (4-2, 1-0) at 2AD2 #1 MART (5-0, 1-0)
Bremond rolled to a 49-7 win over Frost last week. Mart shut out Chilton, 50-0.
