There's nothing like the electricity of playoff hockey. And the Dallas Stars are gearing up for, hopefully, a long run in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
The Stars finished second in the Central Division and open their seven game series with the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.
The American Airlines Center has a reputation of being absolutely electric for Stars playoff games.
"There's nothing better than playoff hockey," says Stars president and CEO Brad Alberts. "Stars fans know...the intensity in the building is awesome. You never know what to expect. And hopefully our guys are going to take us on a magical run here."
It's an 8:30 p.m. puck drop. So the arena should be juiced.
Fans are encouraged to come early for the PNC Party on the Plaza before the games.
The Stars have been in the playoffs in four of the last five seasons, including a trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 2020.
With 108 points in a dynamic regular season, Alberts is hopeful for a long run in the playoffs.
"We're skilled in all the right positions," Alberts says. "We've got a really good mix of incredible veteran leadership and respect, and really really high-skilled young talent."
