Construction has begun on a new luxury master-planned community in Mansfield that will bring 600 homes designed for executives.
Irving-based Realty Capital Management has started work on the first phase of Westhill Park, a more than 300-acre development on Newt Patterson Road.
The community will include a 100-acre park, fishing ponds and an extension of the city's Walnut Trail, with much of the property lined by mature trees.
According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, infrastructure work for the first phase — including grading, utilities and paving — carries an estimated cost of $19 million.
The initial phase will feature just over 200 home sites, with houses expected to sell for between $650,000 and more than $1 million.
Realty Capital Management Managing Director Tim Coltart said the first lots are expected to be delivered by March 2027.
