One man was arrested early Friday in connection to the deadly shooting of a child in South Oak Cliff where a man was showing the gun to the child and one other person, police say.
Officers responded to the incident at a home on Fatima Avenue near Loop 12 and Lancaster just before 8 p.m. Thursday, Dallas police said.
Police said they arrested Andre Sharp, 29, in connection with the shooting.
Police said the third person in the room told them Sharp pointed the gun at him and the child and pulled the trigger. Police said the witness told them the gun only fired when it was pointed at the child.
Sharp is being held in the Dallas County jail on a charge of murder.
