Woman injured in Grapevine road-rage shooting, gunman at-large

A 27-year-old woman is injured after being shot during a road-rage incident in Grapevine Friday morning, police say.

The shooting happened at about 7:15 a.m. Friday on the southbound side of State Highway 121 near Bass Pro Drive, Grapevine police said.

Police said the woman and a man driving a dark gray, Mazda CX9 SUV got involved in an incident as the woman entered the highway from Bass Pro Drive.

The man shot the woman through the neck with a small pistol, police said. Her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.

Police asked for the public's help to locate the gunman. They are asking for any surveillance videos or photos that may have captured the Mazda's license plate or other identifying marks. Anyone with information is asked to call Grapevine police at 817-410-3900.
