The State Fair of Texas brought in extra security officers on Sunday after a shooting Saturday night that injured three people.
Sunday's opening was delayed by several hours, but officials say operating hours will return to normal on Monday.
Victoria Cottle visited the Fair on Sunday with her family and says they were determined not to change their plans.
"We do it every year. We get up on a Sunday to go, but it (delayed opening) pushed everything back by 2 hours. But we still visited for a couple of hours" said Cottle.
Officials with the State Fair of Texas say they're working with Dallas Police to determine how the suspect got a weapon onto the property.
The fair says it's "long been and continues to be a strong supporter of the rights of responsible gun-owning Texans." The fair says it does require license-to-carry permits even though Texas passed a law allowing permitless carry two years ago.
Police say 22-year-old Cameron Turner is in the Dallas County Jail. He's facing three charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the shooting.
The three victims, two adult males and one adult female suffered non-threatening injuries. They were last listed in stable condition.
