Richardson is home to a major investment bringing hundreds of new jobs.
Collins Aerospace is listed as a global leader in intelligent solutions for both aerospace and defense and they have two facilities in Richardson.
Richardson City Manager Don Magner says this fits exactly with how they are wanting to grow opportunities in the city.
"It's highly aligned with that economic development strategy," Magner said. "This was an ideal fit for the innovation ecosystem that we are trying to create here in Richardson."
The total investment is $57-million to expand their manufacturing operations creating 570 new high-wage jobs.
This was made possible by funding from the Texas Enterprise Fund and local incentives from the City of Richardson.
