The Texas Attorney General says his office has resolved a lawsuit with a North Texas school district.

Attorney General Ken Paxton says his office has resolved the lawsuit with Coppell ISD after the district took measures to make sure that critical race theory will not be taught in classrooms.

Paxton sued the district in March to stop the district from teaching what he calls unlawful critical race theory.

Paxton says the district disavowed the teaching and committed it will not be taught anywhere in the district.

"The District made the right decision by working with my office to ensure that anti-American critical race theory is not taught in classrooms," Paxton said.

Coppell ISD says they are waiting for an official court order before releasing a statement.
