COLLIN COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- A Collin County grand jury has indicted an Allen man for the capital murder of two members of his family.

Burak Hezar, 20,  remains locked up on 2-million dollars bond.  He is accused of capital murder in the April 24, 2021 stabbing deaths of his mother and his teenage sister.

“While en route to the call we were told there was at least one person possibly deceased in the residence.” said Allen Police Sgt. John Maness, who was on duty that day.  Police were met at the door by Hezar’s step-father.  “He told us he knew his wife was possibly deceased in the bedroom.  We made entry to the house.  In clearing the house we found and we found the mother deceased and the suspect’s sister deceased as well.”

A short time later police at DFW International Airport arrested Hezar as he tried to rent a car.  He had intended to fly to California, where his father lived, but the charge card had been canceled, Maness said.

Hezar remains in the Collin County jail on $2-million bond.
