UPDATE: Waxahachie Police and Homeland Security Investigations gave a news presser at 2:00 p.m. to give more information about the missing then found Tanya Jackson. They said Dallas Police found her by herself safe after hearing a tip from someone around 9:30 Friday morning.

She was found in South Dallas in a hotel located in a known high-crime area. This is an ongoing investigation.

The Texas Department of Public Safety has discontinued the Amber Alert for a 12-year-old Waxahachie girl for whom the alert was issued on Thursday.

The girl was reportedly seen in Denton near the University of North Texas, according to reports. Texas DPS said she was "found" Friday.

She had last been seen wearing a black leotard, fuzzy slippers, and a wig with straight, black hair, police told KRLD's media partner NBC 5.

Authorities issued the Amber Alert early Thursday after she went missing on Wednesday morning along Brenna Road in Waxahachie, just west of Clift Elementary School, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Amber Alert did not say who authorities were looking for in connection to Jackson's disappearance or provide a vehicle description.

Police said the girl left a cell phone that showed she might be in danger, and they're working with Homeland Security Investigations to track down leads.

Anyone with information was asked to call the Waxahachie Police Department at 469-309-4400.
