DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Police are investigating an auto-pedestrian crash that killed a teenager yesterday in Dallas.
It happened around 7 p.m. at the intersection of South Buckner Boulevard and Blossom Lane. Police say the 18-year-old was crossing the street near a bus stop when a truck crashed into him. The teen was rushed to the hospital, but he did not survive.
The truck driver did not suffer any major injuries. He stayed at the scene and is cooperating the investigation, police say.
"At this time there are no charges pending," says Officer Carlos Almeida with Dallas Police. "But all of this remains under investigation by the Traffic Unit."
Police say it looks like drugs and alcohol did not play a factor in the crash.
