Carrollton will remember Army Pfc. Isabella Gonzales on Saturday with a motorcycle honor ride and a memorial service at Prestonwood Baptist Church.
The 19-year-old Carrollton native and 2025 Hebron High School graduate was killed July 17 in an Iranian attack on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan. Gonzales was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 57th Air Defense Artillery Regiment and served as an air and missile defense crewmember. She had enlisted in 2025 and was based in Ansbach, Germany, when she deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
The day begins with an honor ride organized by Maverick Harley-Davidson. Kickstands up is set for 11 a.m. at the dealership on North Interstate 35E in Carrollton. Riders, including veterans and active-duty service members, will travel a route that includes Josey Lane and Hebron High School before returning to the dealership. Proceeds will support the Carrollton American Legion’s efforts to assist the Gonzales family. An after-ride gathering with food and music is planned.
The memorial service follows at 6 p.m. at Prestonwood Baptist Church. The service will be livestreamed on the church’s website. Organizers have asked attendees to wear red, white and blue, or black and purple, which were among Gonzales’ favorite colors.
Jeep clubs from across North Texas also plan to line part of the procession route near the church to show support for the family. The U.S. Army is finalizing formal funeral arrangements with full military honors. A permanent local memorial is also under discussion by city officials.
Gonzales’ death has drawn widespread community response, including neighborhood tributes and statements from local leaders. She was one of the American service members killed in the July 17 attack.
