Classes are canceled today and tomorrow at one school in the Community school district in Collin County.
On Wednesday, there was a natural gas leak near NeSmith Elementary in Lavon and Community Superintendent Tonya Knowlton says she's been told by Atmos that they could not get the repairs and the mandatory inspections done in time, so the gas will remain turned off at NeSmith until that's all completed.
Nearly a dozen people including students and adults were taken to the hospital to get checked out.
