
Funeral services for Clint Hill, the former Secret Service agent renowned for his heroic actions during the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, will be held Tuesday at the Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. Hill died on Feb. 21 at the age of 93.
Hill, a native of Washburn, North Dakota, served under five U.S. presidents and is remembered for leaping onto the back of Kennedy's limousine in Dallas on November 22, 1963, in a desperate attempt to shield the president and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy.
The ceremony, honoring his life and legacy, is expected to draw dignitaries, colleagues, and admirers from across the nation.
Hill's bravery and dedication to his duty have left an indelible mark on American history, and his passing marks the end of an era for the Secret Service.
