The Cooper Institute in Dallas will now bear the name of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, officials say. It's a move aimed at expanding research and advancing public health initiatives.

The rebranded Kenneth H. Cooper Institute at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center will continue its legacy of pioneering research in fields such as epidemiology, exercise physiology, obesity, healthy aging, and behavior change.

Known as the “father of aerobics,” Dr. Cooper founded the Cooper Clinic and is recognized for his contributions to preventive medicine and public health.
