A very busy stretch of I-30 in Dallas is closed because of an overnight crash that damaged an overpass near Akard.
Reports say the concrete retaining wall on the overpass is clearly unstable with large cracks showing. So, police have closed down the west-bound lanes with all traffic being diverted off onto I-35.
TXDOT engineers were called in and are inspecting the structural integrity of the overpass,
Police have no guidance as to how long the freeway will be closed.
