At the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, the total eclipse weekend features NASA astronauts, astrophysicists and authors who will educate teachers, students and the community about the eclipse.
More than 30 million people live within the path of totality of the 2024 total solar eclipse. This total solar eclipse happens when the moon passes in front of the sun and blocks it completely.
In Dallas, the partial eclipse begins at 12:23 p.m., with the Total Eclipse at 1:40 p.m. lasting 3 minutes 52 seconds. April 8th is also the last day of Dallas Blooms, the garden’s springtime floral festival with half a million flowers, thousands of azaleas, and cherry trees.
Due to the popularity of the event, the Dallas Arboretum is SOLD OUT to the public on Monday, April 8.
