The Dallas City Council will meet Wednesday to finalize plans for a $1.2 billion bond package that will go before voters in May.
City councilman Adam Bazaldua said even though that's a lot of money, not all projects the city wants will be funded.
"It's very clear that no one's going to walk away 100% happy," he said. "That's just not the way that an exercise like this would work. So I think it's important that compromises have been felt across the board."
The biggest chunk of money would be more than $500 million for streets, $300 million for parks, and $100 million for housing.
The city council has to finalize how the money will be spent before the bond can go before voters in May.
