Dallas County has upped its COVID-19 threat level back into the red zone because of an increase in cases and hospitalizations due in part to the omicron variant.
Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins received a letter to that effect from Dallas County's public health committee last night.
The county's hospitalizations due to Covid have gone up 50% in the last week. Threat level Red means a high risk of transmission.
