Dallas (1080 KRLD) - Dallas Police have reported that an investigation is underway into the fatal shooting of a homeless transgender person on Saturday evening.
According to police, they received a shooting call at approximately 10:08 p.m. located at a homeless encampment in the 500 block of Park Avenue. They say that after the shooting, an unidentified silver sedan was seen fleeing the area, heading westbound on Marilla Street.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by Dallas Fire-Rescue where they later died from their injuries.
No motive is currently known to police, neither is the identity of the victim who did not have any identification on their person. The Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office will be using fingerprint analysis to try to identify the victim.
