Dallas secures two one-star restaurants in the 2025 Michelin Guide, with newcomer Mamani earning a star just 48 days after opening and Tatsu Dallas retaining its star for a second year.
The honors were announced Tuesday night, Oct. 28, at the statewide ceremony in Houston, where Michelin also expanded its Texas selection to 140 restaurants and 18 one-star winners overall.
Across North Texas, Michelin kept intact the seven D-F-W Bib Gourmand picks—value-focused spots recognized for great food at moderate prices—including Dallas mainstays Cattleack Barbeque, Gemma, Lucia, Mot Hai Ba, Ngon Vietnamese Kitchen, Nonna, and Fort Worth’s Goldee’s Barbecue.
No new D-F-W Bib Gourmands were added this year, mirroring Michelin’s emphasis on star recipients in the 2025 rollout.
Dallas also featured in the special awards: Mister Charles on Knox Street took Michelin’s Exceptional Cocktails Award, part of a handful of individual recognitions announced alongside the stars.
Statewide, Michelin reported no two- or three-star awards this year, but noted continued growth of the Texas guide, plus additional Green Stars and special awards.
Where to find the Dallas stars: Mamani, 2681 Howell St., Uptown; Tatsu Dallas, 3309 Elm St., Deep Ellum. Michelin said there’s no minimum “time open” to be eligible - explaining how a brand-new restaurant could debut with a star in 2025. Mamani in Dallas officially opened on September 2, 2025.
Big picture: Texas’ second Michelin edition adds breadth without changing the top line - star power remains at the one-star level, while the guide broadens its coverage and maintains strong representation for Dallas’ mix of fine-dining and value-driven kitchens.
