A Dallas man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for assaulting a federal officer with a deadly weapon and trafficking methamphetamine and heroin, federal prosecutors said.

Angel Flores, 36, was sentenced April 22 by U.S. District Judge Ed Kinkeade, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.

Prosecutors said Flores and co-conspirator Andres Saucedo Jr., 42, were involved in importing and distributing large quantities of drugs tied to a Mexico-based trafficking organization. Court records show Flores sold an undercover agent a kilogram of heroin for $7,200 in late 2024 and continued trafficking kilogram amounts of methamphetamine until his arrest in May 2025.

Authorities said the pair also plotted to rob another trafficker of up to 40 kilograms of methamphetamine. During surveillance, Saucedo fired a gun at a federal officer after the suspects realized they were being followed.

Flores was arrested May 21, 2025, following the investigation.

“Angel Flores was not only a drug trafficker who poisoned our communities with massive amounts of deadly heroin and methamphetamine, he was also a predator in the violent business of robbing other narco-traffickers,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan Raybould. “This predator of predators will spend the next 30 years extracted from our community.”
