The Dallas Municipal Court started a warrant resolution option over the weekend, and it's meant to help the homeless in Dallas and to clear up some of the backlog in Class C misdemeanors.
The Dallas Municipal Court has offered to waive court warrant fees for anyone who brings an unopened blanket with them to court. Officials say the respondent must drop off their donations when they check in with the court clerk to see the judge.
The blankets and throws will be donated to the Office of Homeless Solutions who in turn will donate as they deem appropriate.
The Municipal Court will continue the program through March 7th.
